Phat fish has an interesting menu with options for whole table sharing of huge meal spread out on newspaper to much smaller plates. Friend and I did not share, we chose the prawn taco which we both liked alot , 2 well cooked prawns on a salad stuffed into a soft taco, delish. I followed with the scallop dish which had a cauliflower puree and chat potatoes with the half dozen scallops on top. Though well cooked I felt it needed some flavour contrast to give it a bit of zing and some colour contrast to brighten up what was essentially a yellow plate. Sadly there were only a few other customers which is a shame as I think this place offers a nice change to the Salamanca offerings. Give it a try...
Phat Fish is fabulous. Had a heartwarming chowder with a generous amount of fresh fish, calamari, mussels and vegetables. It was hot, creamy and tasty with some lovely toasted sourdough to soak up the bits left at the bottom of the bowl. It was cooked to order so I enjoyed my Hellfire G&T while I waited. Great food, sufficient alfresco dining and friendly service, oh, and the price was pretty darn good. Go there, it’s right in the middle of the action at Salamanca Place.
What an amazing lunch we had! We enjoyed crab cakes, calamari, and tacos, along with a couple glasses of house chardonnay. The dishes were fresh and had a great variety of flavors. The spicy napoli sauce was fantastic - we ended up using it with both the crab cakes and calamari. The service was excellent, and we will definitely be returning. Great job, Team Phat!
The mussels in cream sauce were fantastic, they were large and had the perfect flavor. I wished there was more bread to soak up all of the delicious sauce! The draft beer selection was great and the location was awesome. The soft shell crab burger was also very tasty! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The staff at this restaurant are wonderful and contribute to the amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend the seafood and steak dishes, particularly the steak and scallops. Thank you for the outstanding service and delicious meals - I will definitely be returning!
We both had the crisp skin Salmon and fettuccine absolutely delicious dish! Compliments to the Chef ! Friendly staff great atmosphere will definitely go back and don’t forget to order dessert yumm !! If your in Hobart don’t miss this Restaurant!
Awesome.They went above and beyond tonight. We arrived late in Hobart. Looking for a meal and came across this place. Kitchen was closed but they opened it for us. 10 stars if I could. Talk about awesome service!!!
