I've been a big fan of Jake's for years but wanted to see what Phillie's was all about. This is another LEGIT SPOT to go to when you're craving a Philly Cheesesteak in the Outer Mission. My Regular Whiz Whit Cheesesteak was Super Tasty! The Amoroso Roll was on point, the Steak to Bread ratio was perfect, the Onions and Peppers gave a nice flavored texture and heat, and the service was fantastic! I'm definitely coming back!
Where’s the cheese? Ordered a cheesesteak sandwich with peppers and provolone through DoorDash. Good bread, steak is tasty etc, but where’s the cheese? There’s was so little cheese in this sandwich that it could hardly be called a cheesesteak.Overall a good sandwich, freshly made, and delivered quickly, but I can’t hide my disappointment. I will probably order again and hope this was just a one off.
The staff here is fantastic, and they really know how to create an authentic cheesesteak. It's one of the best I've ever had! I highly recommend the Rocky Balboa with Cheez Whiz, but they offer plenty of excellent options. The bread they use is spot-on as well. There's a huge variety of bottled drinks to choose from! If they had Tastykakes, I’d truly feel like I was back on the East Coast!
This is an excellent place for a cheesesteak, and the owner really makes you feel like part of the family. The Works with cheese whiz was incredibly delicious! They also have a fantastic selection of classic sodas and root beers, plus beer on tap! It doesn't get any better than this! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I had an incredible experience at this place! I called ahead and ordered two Philly cheesesteaks and two sides of fries. The owner was a genuinely humble and friendly man. I highly recommend this spot—definitely a 10/10 if you're in the Bay Area!
really, really skimpy on the steak... and it was dry. no grease whatsoever, if that's your thing. I would rather nab one from Phat Philly or Cheese Steak Shop
The owner is incredibly friendly. I suggested to him that he should open a shop in Temescal because we could really use him there!
