I picked up a half tray of chicken Francese on Thursday night at 5 PM, which I had ordered days before. Due to a series of events, we didn 't eat until late and the sauce was by that time ... orange in sections of the pan. Since one of us has serious food sensitivities, I called to ask why the sauce was orange. After waiting a few minutes, speaking to two people and specifically asking whether the sauce had been prepared with a powder base, I finally learned from a manager that they put paprika in it to give it a little kick because we do things differently around here. We love the car show at the LIRR Station across the street on Friday nights. We’d stopped in for pizza once and to refresh ourselves when this restaurant first caught my eye. Coincidentally an old work buddy, first seen at the car show was then having dinner with his family. I knew we’d find the occasion to dine in. We returned for dinner on my birthday a recently and had a great time. Joe and Brian took excellent care of us, safeguarding our allergies and sensitivities and Miss Claudette came over and spent quality time with us after our meal as an introduction. Last weekend, we celebrated our wedding anniversary at Piccolo, and they never fail to impress. The staff is consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and personable, always ready to go the extra mile. I wasn't familiar with perch, one of the dinner specials, and as I was attempting to look it up on Google, I ran into some cell service issues. Our server noticed and quickly pulled out his phone to share the information with me. Thanks to his help, I tried something new and had a delicious meal. It was truly a wonderful experience! Pizza/restaurant next to King Kullen. Nice looking place, seated relatively quickly. There is a separate room next to the main dining area. Service started okay, then lagged. Had to wave someone down to take my payment. And the food, to my taste, was not very good. Hot, but not at all tasty. My wife felt the same. The bread and salad that is offered at no charge was fine. Drinks left something to be desired as well. Clean place though, with plenty of parking, and accessible .

We catered from Piccolos yesterday for our daughter’s graduation party. I cannot state enough how great the food was (and half of it was gluten free too! . Our guests stated over and over how delicious and plentiful everything was. Setup was great too, with nice touches and extra sauces. It was a huge hit!! We will use them from now on for all of our catering needs, plus to dine at when we can. Amazing!!!
Came here from out of state at my grandma's insistence. It was hard to find something on the menu with all my food allergies but my server was able to help me frankenstein my own dish together so we could both enjoy our night out. They're quick to correct errors (even tho my grandma didn't even want one because she liked what she got lol). The service is prompt and our waiter was great.
We just had a catering order for a 70 person party. The food was delicious! Everyone complimented the food and really enjoyed the eggplant rollatini, chicken francese, chicken scarsala, pasta salad, meatballs, chicken tenders, penne ala vodka, and pizza. The owner and manager were very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be ordering from them again.
Great classic Italian food. Great staff, attentive service. Our group of 10 had a wonderful, lively dining experience, not just a meal. Thank you again to Piccolo's!
