First time visitor to Piccolo, but looking for a coffee shop I can use when I visit my office and also recommend to my clients. It's very small and intimate, but I like that if I'm having a drink with friends. Atmosphere was okay but didn't feel welcoming. The lady who served me was friendly but the guy making the coffee had a face like a wet weekend... cheer up mate... smile and your customers may feel more welcome. I opted for a cappuccino to take away and paid £3.20, which I thought was a little pricy but acceptable. That was until it arrived. It was no bigger than an espresso. I visited this restaurant for the first time to have coffee with a friend. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. As someone with celiac disease, I couldn't resist trying a slice of their gluten-free cake. I will definitely be coming back.
If you love decent coffee a visit here is a must! I was thrilled to find it still open at 2 pm on a Sunday! Roasted in house. Try the espresso in a cup from the freezer, for the fullest taste!

Fantastic coffee, cakes and toast served here, all hand roasted or made onsite. Our go-to coffee shop which is more than worth the 50 mile round trip !!!! Highly recommended
