Me and my family have been coming here and enjoying their gelato for basically my entire life. The quality has always been top notch and the people have always been friendly.Their gelato is very flavorful, not too sweet and has a great texture. They also have a large selection of sorbet which are equally as good and are a great choice if you want something refreshing or dairy free.With the amount of places that have been closing since the pandemic, it's comforting to have a constant like Piccolo Grande that you can always rely on for a solid experience.
This place is a must-visit every time we go to Ottawa. The ice cream is incredibly light, and the flavors explode in your mouth. The only challenge is deciding which flavors to pick! I never have the chance to take photos of the ice cream selection we all choose because everyone is eager to dive in. If you haven't been here yet, you absolutely should!
I had a wonderful experience at the ice cream cafe. The ice cream was exquisite, the ambiance was clean and comfortable. Although we encountered a minor issue where the waiter initially served the wrong coffee, they promptly corrected the mistake without any additional charges. I appreciated their quick resolution and still enjoyed my visit.

Tasty, clean Gelato place. Bit of a hidden gem away from the central byward market but all the better. Lots of flavors, fast and friendly service. Was very busy but did not take long at all.
The restaurant has a relaxed and open atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, the prices are affordable, the portions are generous, and the gelato is incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it.
Delicious gelato and a variety of flavours to choose from. The Bacio is incredible, so was pistachio.Prices are reasonnable but expect long lines on beautiful days.Would recommend
