Okay, so if you're a coffee shop your coffee better be good and this place has damn good coffee. I had an Americano and the espresso roast was fantastic. Notes of nut and chocolate with a creamy after finish. By far one of the best cups I've had in a while. And the staff is super friendly! A little disappointed with the orange and cranberry scone it was flaky and the consistency of a biscuit versus a dense scone. Otherwise, we will be sure to stop by next time we drive through Columbia. (And if you ever come here, be sure to say hello to the fiddle fig plant beside the door. His name is Harvey Jr. ?
I work from home, and Piecewise is my go-to spot when I need to step away from my office. The coffee is fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting, the service is excellent, and there's plenty of seating. While the food options are somewhat limited, it's still good, and I don't usually expect a wide selection from a coffee shop. I come here mainly for caffeine and to focus, and it definitely meets my needs. I highly recommend it. Let's support local businesses!
Update 08/12/2023Still excellent!Tried the chocolate scone with an Americano....delicious.My coffee stop when I am in the area.Cute coffee shop, reminds me of the Seattle coffee shops that started back in the mid 80's. Parking is good. Seating inside, hit or miss depending on how busy. They also have an outdoor area for sitting. Iced black coffee DOES NOT taste like hot coffee poured over ice, it is actually pretty good.
My favorite coffee shop in all of Columbia! The workers are incredibly kind and informed, and the vibe of the cafe is laid back, rustic, and cozy. They have great outdoor seating, and a second cafe space if you go out the back door to the right. One of my favorite places in Columbia hands down! :
I got so used to lattes while I was in Italy recently I had to have one now that I'm home. There's was excellent! Great service and I love their outside seating. Plenty of parking just across the street because they only have a few spots next to the building.
I wouldn't return to this restaurant. The caramel macchiato costs $6 for a 12 oz size, and I didn't taste any caramel at all. The coffee itself was quite bland; I had high hopes based on all the positive reviews, but I'm really disappointed.
First time visiting this morning, great atmosphere, smells amazing!! There were scones, bagels, turnovers, biscuits to eat, all looked homemade. I will definitely be back, conveniently near my job. Support your local small businesses!!
The food, drinks, and service are excellent as always! There's ample parking and plenty of seating available. The community atmosphere is fantastic. It's consistently one of my favorite spots for studying and connecting with others.
Warm and cozy with a cute outdoors space too! They have little nibbles to eat (scones, turnovers, etc. . Nice place to work with good seating and outlets, and parking lot is free and right across from it.
