Our first visit.As a Coeliac I always struggle to eat out, but reading a few reviews and checking the menu I felt that Pieminister was worth a visit.On arrival a very cheerful waitress showed us to a table which was a great position, not to close to other diners but not isolated either the place was around 50% full.Our waiter for the evening (whose name I did not get annoyingly) was great, explained how it all worked provided me with the separate menu and put my mind at ease regarding the food. So I was really looking forward to trying here ! But what a let down ! First of all, service was shocking , robotic and unfriendly and didn’t feel very welcome! I took 10 minutes to even get a menu, then a further 10 mins to get my drink when other customers who arrived after me got theirs. When the food arrived it looked pretty appetising however on this occasion looks we’re deceiving! The pie was ok (the only bit I enjoyed , the loaded fries which were supposed to have cheesy sauce had some random bright yellow Slimy goo which tasted like mustard , there was about 6 full spring onions and gherkins (even tho menu did not specify this item was not impressed. We went in on a day that the escape rooms were closed but they were kind enough to set it up for us anyway! We only had one day in Nottingham and I'm so glad we chose to go here, the escape room was great fun and a special shoutout to Kas for being the best host ever, very warm and friendly and helpful. 10/10 will go back and try the other escape room adventure. Thanks guys!
The pies tasted lush and they are forever doing different flavour/ingredient combos. Plus the loaded fries are very tasty they are a bit skinny but I do prefer chipshop thick chips (personal preference). Just a nice restaurant if you want to switch it up from eating the same cheeky nandos all the time

My son and his partner took me here to celebrate my birthday, all in all it was very nice although the onion rings could have been cooked a little more in my opinion as the onion was tough but the salt and pepper batter was very nice. Lovely choice of pies and the pastry was delicious very light.
Great food and service. First time visit for us and it was brilliant. I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food. My wife is vegan and she loved it. Finally found somewhere with a good selection of great hearty vegan food. Excellent value too will defo be back after lockdown.
The server helped me pick the best option for me his name was Adam, he was very professional and kind, he was so helpful. Highly recommended this food.
This restaurant has exactly what is says above the door. Very simple menu with pie s, mash, peas and gravy. Service was quick and the food was good

I had pie. The pastry was so nice and crispy! I had the steak pie. I got chips with it! They were great. Would have no hesitation coming back.
First time eating here and will definitely be coming back. Probably the best pie i have ever eaten.Thank you chef.
