We enjoyed high tea by the river and couldn't find any faults with the location. We highly recommend it! Sana and Poppy provided personalized and friendly service, which was just lovely. The food served during the high tea was delicious, and we decided to add a pork belly bao bun since we hadn't had breakfast. We also enjoyed three cocktails and unlimited SA Prosecco. The cocktails were refreshing and flavorful, and everything was beautifully presented.
The 4 of us had the gin high tea experience, which was thoroughly enjoyable. Wait staff were beautiful explained each drink and morsel, plus attentive to boot. The gin pairings were a nice touch. Being by the Yarra River gave excellent views and being a mild afternoon, ambience was perfect. The food paled slightly in comparison, as the scones were not as fluffy fresh, and the bread was stale. The hot food was a tad cool. Otherwise, superbly executed!
The only thing this place has got going for it is the location and view. QR ordering, which is so impersonal. Even when the food and drinks arrived they came without a smile!! Only one young waitress was actually friendly and looked happy long dark hair, tied back). Worst wedges we've ever seen. As we were leaving we saw people with food we didn't even see on the QR menu ????
We came in for the Gin High Tea experience and it was all amazing! They have different vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/dairy free menus which was really nice. The food was great although the portions were quite small. Our server, Izzy was lovely and guided us through the experience really well. Had an amazing experience with gin and food inspired by Australian native ingredients. The flavors were absolutely delicious! The standout of the night were the wait staff, Olivia and Ella, who provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place for a leisurely afternoon of indulging in drinks and food!
Yesterday, my group of seven friends had a fantastic Gin High Tea experience at Pilgrim. Our main server, Poppy, was exceptional - incredibly helpful and accommodating. She even let us store our luggage safely inside. I highly recommend Pilgrim Bar and their wonderful staff.
The Gin High Tea was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the gins amazing especially the chai Davidson plum cocktail. Poppy our server had an infectious and bubbly personality which gave our group a very memorable experience. Also what a great location.

Sunday 16/07 Gin Brunch was great! Loved the chai and apple gin tea! Serena and the other two table staff were amazing and knowledgeable.
