I visited for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for two. The food was excellent. We swapped the hash for a salad for an extra $3. While I found the dish a bit too salty for my liking—especially with the grilled cheese in the salad and the ham in the Benedict—I think most people would enjoy it. I might have preferred the mushroom Benedict or perhaps a drink to balance it out. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the small flower centerpiece added a nice touch. There were a few flying bugs that likely came in through the patio door. As for parking, we found a spot a few blocks away in the residential area behind Whyte Ave.
Brunch was fantastic! We had the brunch special (lobster roll with potatoes today) and the crab eggs benedict. The food came in delicious, filling portions. The staff was amazing. Welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Thanks to Bailey for your wonderful service and suggestions. And thanks to the back of house staff! We definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu!
Just your basic brunch, nothing that has me wanting or needing to come back a second time. Was pretty turned off by the wait time for food our server cleared his entire section informed us he’d check with the kitchen. Felt like we waited 45+ minutes Wasn’t his fault.. wasn’t overly slammed with guests, venue was cute. Best part was the coffee. Meh..
PIP is an amazing little hidden gem in Old Strathcona. Parked right next to two Whyte ave. institutions, MEAT and The Next Act, it joins the aforementioned family of incredible culinary and staff culture. First time visit to Edmonton and had to stop based on the reviews. We got the traditional and crab Benedict… both were amazing! You need to get the hot sauce on the side. Our waitress was also very attentive and helpful with drink recommendations.
Had Ana amazing dinner. Ordered the steak and frites and cocktail. Had the cheese dish for an appetizer and I would go back solely for that!! My partner had the chicken plate. Next time I will be getting the fish.
Incredible food—truly outstanding! The location is fabulous, and I'm so glad we discovered this place. It's honestly my favorite spot for breakfast!
