Group of 6 of us met there for dinner last night. It had been a few years since I had been there.4 had entrees (3 had the scallops which were tender and flavoursome, the other had rice paper duck rolls which they enjoyed)Everyone enjoyed their mains (steak, chicken, salmon). Not being one for going out to restaurants too often, I was pleasantly surprised when friends tooks us out for dinner here on Saturday night. While it was 40 degrees outside, the inside of the restaurant was nicely airconditioned and we spent a very comfortable 3 hours. We skipped entrees to focus on the main and dessert. Very nice slices of bread were served prior to the main course. I had, essentially, steak and fries, but they were very nice. My wife had the salmon and was very happy with that. For dessert I had a sort of 'deconstructed' lemon meringue pie, which was excellent.Serves weren't huge, but didn't leave me wanting more.Wine was BYO with quite a reasonable corkage charge. Ate here on a Saturday night with friends. While it wasn't super busy, there were quite a few tables occupied and only one waiter to look after everyone. He didn't stop and did the best job he could.I had the pork pie and found it a little bland, just needed something more. The fries were tasty and the beans were delicious.The highlight of the meal was the brownie for dessert, squishy and chocolatey with just the right amount of ice cream.The restaurant is licensed but also byo. Wines by the glass were available.Nice suburban restaurant, moderately priced.
We ate here a few years ago & weren't that impressed (slow service & too much salt on their food).We gave them another go and was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty. The salmon was a touch under cooked and the skin wasn't crispy but the steak was delicious. We had 3 courses and in all it was a nice dinner and they didn't charge a ridiculous price being Valentine's day.We will go back.Side note - my rating of 3 should be more like a 3.5

We recently enjoyed a dinner with friends at Pistachios at Torrens. The restaurant is quiet with a lovely ambience. Tables are well spaced so you are not sitting too close to other diners. The staff were friendly without being annoying and most important of all the food was delicious. They have a good choice of contemporary fare. We went with the degustation dinner and all courses were outstanding.Well done guys.
We love Pistachio, the food is always great and the menu changes with the season. Both the tasting plates are fantastic - 3 tastes of entrees, and 4 tastes of desserts, wonderful idea, especially when you can't make up your mind what you want. Can't wait to go back again. Does have a wine list but you can also BYO.
A really lovely fancy little restaurantWe got the 'just feed me' option where they bring you four courses and it varies day to day what you get.
Enjoyed our visit back after a couple of years. Lovely suburban restaurant. Decore may need a bit of an uplift but the meal didn't disappoint.

Traveling to Canberra on business and some of our group members met the owner We came with a group of 14 for dinner.
What a great place to have a nice dinner! We had a 5 course meal at a modest price.
