My husband and I had our 50th birthday at Pistou on Saturday night. We hired the whole venue and Jules and Elisa provided such great service. From the wine and food planning to the service on the evening of our event, everything was amazing. The food is absolutely delicious and was plentiful and we had a fantastic selection of wines and beers to cater to everyone’s taste. I can’t recommend this venue enough to those looking to have an event or just a relaxing wine with fabulous food.
Oh wow, we took no photos as we were too busy eating and enjoying ourselves. The food is excellent! And the wait staff are fabulous. We were recommended a hand picked charcuterie board and we were pretty much silent with eyes wide open and oh yeah nods. And then the duck, mushrooms, broccolini and eggplant dishes blew our minds. Kept thinking, I’m a local on King St eating incredible food, how good is this! Highly recommend! Service: Dine in
This restaurant is a lovely gem at the southern end of King Street. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are friendly and engaging. Both the drinks and food were delightful, and I would highly recommend this place. We spent a wonderful evening enjoying a relaxing dinner. A bit average unfortunately! Have been here twice now and both times felt it was overpriced for the quality. The mushroom mafaldine was lukewarm at best and very plain in taste (the sauce basically just tasted like butter), as were the roast potatoes. The food is excellent and truly authentic. The atmosphere is warm and laid-back. The owner is exceptionally friendly. You can drop by just for an aperitif and share a delicious platter of cheese or cured meats, or you can indulge in a complete meal. And we can't forget about their profiteroles! Pickled eggplant was surprisingly the highlight Anchovies good as well (not worth tho) Bread was very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend Everything else was a bit meh and overpriced -3/5 if I was only rating the food Service: Dine in Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
beautiful summer dining experience. if they want something else (i.e. if they love fermented eating like me, they had made home fermented watermelon! 10/10
