I've been craving some fantastic Jamaican food since I moved from New York in 2021, and I’m so glad I found this place. I ordered the jerk pork, rice and peas, a cabbage and carrot side, along with a large goat soup, festival, and a Soursop drink. The jerk pork was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender. The rice and peas were flavorful and moist, and the cabbage and carrots were very tasty too. The goat soup had just one piece of goat in it, but it was well-seasoned nonetheless. The Soursop drink was quite enjoyable—slightly sweet but still refreshing. Minus one star for the hairs kind of a turn off (gross) but hey doesn’t get any fresher than that as if they killed it in the back lol… good food tho I was recommended by a customer and this is my honest review. You walk in it def old school vibes the smell of burnt smoky goodness! The pork was good the sauce was good. They have huge amounts of chopped meat in the back on the bone which was cool! I also had the bread pudding but ehh hard pass.. definately one of a kind place everyone should visit all the restaurants over 4.0 ratings in east orange it means they are doing something right!
I ordered the fish, collard greens, black-eyed peas, and a side of macaroni and cheese. The fish was extremely salty and not fried enough for my taste. The macaroni and cheese was decent, and the black-eyed peas were fine. The collard greens were fantastic, and the cornbread had a nice flavor, but it didn't taste fresh—if it had been, it would have been much better. The service was good. Overall, if the food had been fresher and less salty, it could have been amazing. I also tried the banana pudding, but it had a dark color that made me think it might have been spoiled.
Can’t say how the food was in this miserable place after I asked to see what was wrapped up for me when I tried to purchase a curry roti. I didn’t feel that asking to see what was wrapped PRIOR to paying was such a big deal. After I got yelled at….I left.

Jerk chicken and pork is great 95% of the time. I've had it sometimes and it wasn't the same quality. I don't like the sides at all. They're not friendly to women and Americans. Caribbean men get the best treatment.
Food was amazing, and what I love about it most is that the kitchen is connected to the whole unit of the restaurant. You can taste the preparation of the food, and you can tell they took their time to cook it.
Still cheap, but the food reflects it. The Jerk Chicken was sawdust dry and under seasoned. The beef patty was soggy and bland. The only good things were the white rice and cabbage.
Hole in the wall style place. Got the jersey chicken. Chicken was moist and exploding w flavor. Be sure to get gravy and sauce on top.....might go back to grab another to go.
