Best Italian i have had in sydney! Recommended as good food and kids friendly and it didnt disappoint! Early evening, many tables were filled with kids and the staff was so accomodating. You can watch them make the pizza when you first come in and they will give the kids dough to play with. Pizza was thin but not crunchy and the dough was delicious. The aracini balls were so good as was the calzone and pear balsalmic salad. Everything complimented each other. Einfach lecker. Jedes Mal, wenn ich zurückkomme, bin ich mit dem gleichen fantastischen Service und unglaublichem Essen als letzter getroffen. Ihre Calzone ist das Beste, was ich je hatte! So eine schöne launische Atmosphäre, mit den dunklen Wänden und dunklen Lichtern, die es zu einem schönen Flucht aus den geschäftigen Surry-Hügeln umgibt. Simply delicious. Any time I return I am met with the same fantastic service and incredible food as the last. Their calzone is the best I have ever had! Such a lovely moody atmosphere, with the dark walls and dim lights making it a nice escape from the busy Surry Hills surrounds. Have been here for dates and with groups; no matter the occasion Pizza Birra never disappoints.

I came here for my birthday dinner a few weeks ago and ordered the salsiccia e porcini pizza. It was nice but just lacking a bit of salt I felt. I had the tiramisu for dessert. If you're not a coffee fan, I wouldn't recommend because it has a very strong coffee flavour but I did enjoy it. I'd recommend booking as it does get quite packed.
Authentic Italy! If you're looking for an authentic Italian eatery, this is definitely your joint! I had the pizza with sausage and mushroom and my partner had the lasagna. Both highly recommended!
