Pizza Oven is closing on 12/31. We drove 30 minutes from Montgomery County this afternoon (12/28) at 2 p.m., arriving at 2:36 where we got in a relatively short line out the door to order 3 large bacon pizzas to take home and freeze so we could continue to enjoy it for months to come. We waited one hour in line, got in the door and were 2nd line at the counter. It was 3:36 p.m.They were due to close at 4. After taking the lady’s order in front of us, Brian announces “No more orders..” Not only were we in the door, standing at the counter, and it was not yet closing time, he cut off orders for pizzas abruptly without any warning. We left without any pizza and with a bad feeling about the plac...
Ruined a legacy!! Was happy to see Pizza Oven continue to operate after the original owner retired. I stopped by to order 2 large pies , the young girl at the counter was not customer friendly and when she made the pies, topping were arranged very sloppy where one side barely had any and the rest of the pizza toppings along with the sauce were very skimpy for an expensive pizza!! No thoughts and didn't care. I assume they think they are saving money by skimping on the toppings and sauce !! Legacy ruined and I will not go back sadly. New owners need to rethink about running this business correctly.

We had our kids and needed to get lunch and stretch our legs, took the first exit we could after bad traffic, and came across Pizza Oven. Unassuming, this place is like steppingback in time with its decor. The owner was so kind and had us sign the guest book and gave us a free calendar about DC. Pizzawas good too! Cash only and our change included a $2 bill and a half dollar coin! We will save those!
Great food and great decor! Although I was a bit disappointed that they didn?t have the eggplant parm, this was my first time here and the pizza was excellent. It took a little longer than expected but the onion rings were among some of the best i?veever had (and i?ve had more than my fair share). Staff is incredibly friendly and prices are reasonable ? they also have somedeals at certain times or for certain combos. Highly recommend coming here as I?ll definitely be back.

We stopped by this restaurant on our way home from DC after finding it on Google Maps. It is very convenient, located right off the highway with plenty of parking. The pizza was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the owner made us feel like family. This modest little restaurant has a charming retro decor that transports you back in time. We wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.
