A place you might not even know was here unless you're a local or visiting the oval for a game - but one definitely worth visiting! Great views outside, as well as the opportunity to peek inside the sporting arena if you wish.Great service (super friendly and personable) and fresh food. I went to lunch with friends. We all enjoyed our meals and we were able to have gluten-free, vegetarian and milk-free options. I enjoyed a burger and it was too good to wait to get a photo of it. I photographed the chicken salad and the corn fries. The venue was clean and had both indoor and outdoor seats. The tables had provided water that was replaced. There was a children's menu with cheaper options, but otherwise meals were generally over $12 price. Soup and bread were cheaper. All day there was breakfast and the café is closed at 3 p.m.
After enjoying a pleasant walk in the winter sun at Bellerive Beach, we made the decision to dine at Hurricanes Cafe at the Cricket Grounds. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. The large windows offered stunning views of the beach, rubber tees, and the cricket grounds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We opted for the maize fritters with smashed avocado, sour cream, and chili sauce, which turned out to be a perfect choice. The coffee was also outstanding.
There's a toilet in the middle of the restaurant. When anyone uses it you can hear the flush from nearby tables and look up to see the actual toilet from your table as they enter or exit the bathroom. I am still horrified and cannot go back. We dined with friends last night and they were still reeling from their recent visit and similar experience, prompting me to write this review. I recently enjoyed a delightful reunion with friends over Devonshire Tea at this restaurant. The scones, jam, and cream were all delicious, and the coffee was top-notch. We even spotted some members of the Hurricanes cricket team, so you never know who you might encounter if you're a fan of the sport.
Located conveniently near the U17 Cricket Championship game, this restaurant is well-equipped to cater to both hot and cold weather. With indoor and outdoor seating options, guests can choose to dine comfortably regardless of the temperature. I enjoyed my beautifully presented Smashed Avocado dish.
You haven't been here for many months, but this morning you've enjoyed breakfast. Warm reception of Jess, coffee was excellent and the breakfast Burger was the best I had eaten. An ingenious way to start the day.

This place looks well maintained and clean. I had the eggs benedict florentine. Portion was small. Would prefer sourdough bread instead of muffin. Latte was OK.
