I used to love this place they were the best around and now they have become another price gouging cheap ass place. I came here tonight to get some bowls and I ask for the usual half rice half salad as the base. They literally put in less than 1/4 cup of rice and no joke this is not an exaggeration 3 leafs of the spring mix. I laughed and told him Is that it?! So he put 2 more leafs. My poke bowl from Poki Bomb didn't disappoint. My fish and toppings were all super fresh, and the price was extremely reasonable for three scoops of protein. I liked how they didn't skimp on the protein or toppings here. My bowl was packed with salmon (x2), spicy tuna (had a slight kick to it), seaweed salad, imitation crab, jalapenos, cucumbers, and green onion. I thought the protein/topping to sushi rice ratio was good too. Service was fast and efficient. I was in and out in no time. I came here based on the 4 stars it had and the photos that looked amazing. I love poke so I was super excited to try this place. Unfortunately this was NOT at all like the photos in terms of sizing. I got 2 scoops of fish, salmon and albacore and I've never had not only such small quantities of ingredients but the smallest fish slices ever. My bowl was mainly rice and veggies. Hardly any fish at all which is technically what we're paying for. I also added tofu but there were only THREE pieces of tofu. 2 scoops of fish in one poke bowl for $25+ tip? My total was $30.72. $30 for a substandard poke bowl was extremely disappointing.
Too pricy for what I got. $13+ for 3 scoops? Sure (I haven't eaten all day). I got medium spicy poki bomb sauce that's it. Their sauce was so-so. I also ordered sushi, B. P. 1 star for keeping a 2 days old fish on the line. The albacore was gray in color... They're lucky I was fixated on the menu board. Another reason for 1 star is that I was starving... Their bathrooms have been shut off since the pandemic. Their soda machine only serves water, but everything around the soda machine looks so suspiciously unkempt that you don't even want that. The food itself seems ok, but seriously like what is going on over there? It used to be my fav go-to spot. I mean, it looks like once something breaks they just cover it up and act like nothing's wrong. It's got such a run-down vibe now. It makes me sad.
$14.80 for a decent sized bowl less topping choices than other poke spots around. The large cuts of fish was not the chew I wanted but it speaks of the freshness of the ingredients. If it was old(er) you would definitely know. There was a bit more chew to it than I expected or wanted. IMO. Randomly got corn when it wasn't requested. I was more surprised to see it; I don't typically see corn.
Great poke place! I go to a lot of different poke joints and some may have less-than-fresh fish and bland rice. This place, however, has very fresh everything and the rice was flavorful like true sushi rice. I highly recommend splitting their large bowl with a friend if you’re trying to save money and have some delicious poke.
Delicious! Fantastic and absolutely wonderful. I had a craving for sushi or something with umami and fresh taste. Poke bowl was top on my list, they absolutely hit the mark! Really high quality, clean, yummy poke place. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. We visit regularly. Lots of other menu items too in you don't like fish.
