I usually have a great experience with the staff, but tonight was frustrating. After waiting 30 minutes in line, the woman working the drive-thru was incredibly rude for no apparent reason. When my girlfriend placed her order, the lady just said, "Pull up," and when we mentioned we needed to get one more item, she reacted with, "OMG!" over the microphone. We decided to leave and went to Cook Out instead. I don't have anything against Popeyes in general, but I definitely have an issue with that one rude employee—I'm sure you'll recognize her if you hear her.
I ordered two combo meals, one for myself and one for my wife. Right away, I realized that the side of mashed potatoes and an extra biscuit were missing, which forced us to share a small portion of mac and cheese. The diet drinks we received were flat and watered down. Although the flavor of the new 6-piece wings combo was okay, the wings didn't taste fresh. Overall, it felt like I wasted nearly $30.
I used to frequent Popeye's quite often, but I haven't been there in a few months. I'm frustrated with paying $6.22 for the three-wing snack. The wings are so small that they hardly qualify as wings. I find it unacceptable to pay for three wings when they often combine two to make one. Plus, the wing tips are usually missing, so sometimes I feel like I'm only getting two wings.
The chicken was cooked perfectly and delicious. However, the service could have been better. I understand they were busy and everyone has their moments, but staff shouldn’t take their frustration out on customers. Although it wasn’t aimed at me directly, it did affect my overall experience. The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing. It is an incredibly large part of the fluffy, juicy chicken on a buttery tasty bungalow, with a moderate amount of her proprietary spicy sauce to kick it in overdrive. I thought the Pommes were okay. Good service here.
This was my third time ordering from this Popeyes, and unfortunately, I was really let down by the food. It wasn’t fresh, and the biscuit was cold. I also got sweet tea, but it tasted overly sweet, like sugar water. I won't be coming back.
I was not given the fries that were supposed to come with my dinner, and I didn’t receive the Cinnamon Apple Pie either.
Sarah was fantastic in taking our orders, and the gentleman at the window was very courteous. I will definitely be back!
