So, was it worth it given the competition nearby? Within a 2-mile radius, there's the iconic Barnabys of Northbrook, Grateful Bites in Winnetka, and Minos of Winnetka, not to mention Napolita in Wilmette. In this four-way contest, Poppy's would come in a distant fourth. The pizza is just okay, but at that price, it simply doesn't compare to the significantly better offerings from its cheaper rivals.
That being said, the management seems friendly. If you have kids under 10, it might be a decent place to visit. I genuinely hope they find success; they seem like nice people.
I like the concept of them paying livable wages to it's employees and the food was good. Service was a bit slow but it is on my list to go back and try some new dishes. The back room was cold and other patrons we're complaining as almost everyone was still wearing their coats. I am assuming it was due to the glass garage door they have installed for the warmer months. Service: Dine in
The waitstaff was so nice. You could tell they were a bit busier than they expected but they maintained professionalism and just were genuinely nice to be around. (The bartender today gets extra credit) We had lovely drinks and pizza (which was VERY good). Highly recommend! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
The waitstaff was incredibly pleasant. It was clear that they were a bit busier than they anticipated, but they remained professional and were genuinely enjoyable to be around. (The bartender deserves special recognition today.) We enjoyed delicious drinks and pizza, which was excellent. I highly recommend this place!

I couldn't place an order over the phone, and when I inquired about customizing my pizza with specific toppings instead of pre-selected options, they seemed unsure of how to help me. There are too many other pizza places to explore; I don’t need the hassle.

I was surprised that this place wasn't crowded. They have great drinks, fantastic pizza with a unique twist, and the mozzarella sticks are incredible.
