A very pleasant surprise in the burbs of the North Shore. I'm always hesitant to eat out for Italian, as we do it very well ourselves. But having young children, Italian is palatable for them. For the first time in a long time, we were able to experience perfectly cooked pasta! You would think this is a given, but more often than not, it comes out horrid at most restaurants, but not here. We all had pasta dishes and they were all a perfect al dente. Kudos!! Then the sauces and proteins cooked perfectly. Only complaint of the evening was the order to food time, but a senior waiter noticed and apologised and kept us abreast of the status. The junior waiters need more training for sure. But abo...
we moved about 3 years ago to gordon and a friend suggested that we visit porto azzurro for Italian eating. we have now visited to eat and to many places, most recently today (10/28/21.) while eating in service and eating. were very good and for the ordering home they are also highly recommended. the Prosciutto pizza (prosciutto prosciutto, rakete and fresh parmesan), the quattro salumi (ham, cabanossi, salami, flat pancetta), the mushroom rissotto (risotto ai funghi Arborio-Reis, sorted mushrooms, crumbled are all commendable. our favorite is the quattro salumi pizza. the menu is a good choice, the ambiente is casual with the location within a small essecke of the main street area of gordon...
ate quick lunch here today. very happy to see them following social distancing rules by setting every second table well done!! used lunch specials menu- my daughter liked her pizza . the crust was good she said I had a nice chicken salad way...too big. bought half of it home only 2 downers 1. there was a pungent gas smell. someone had left an outdoor heater gas tank ? not turned off properly and overnight the gas smell filled the enclosed courtyard. they offered to put ceiling fans on to push smell away and finally opened a window to help. 2/ the tiramisu we were told was only made today- needed more time to set it tasted delicious though
Had dinner here after searching for a place for dinner. The atmosphere is very family welcoming. I was here with my partner. We ordered a main each. I had a lasagne with ragu. Sauce was great but the ragu was rather tough. Had a bit of trouble chewing through it. The portions are generous. We both didn't finish our main. Finished dinner with a Nutella pizza with strawberries. Would be nice if there was a little bit more strawberries, but overall nice food!! Would try again

Fantatsic menu that's a little bit different from standard Italian Fayre. I had spaghetti with chicken and butternut squash, very yummy. Great ami ambience, friendly, attentive staff and desserts to die for. A good selection of beverages, including alcohol, though you can BYO. Will definitely be coming here again.
Wonderful food and service. We have eaten here more a dozen times now, and it is now one of our favorite restaurants.The food is warm and homely with authentic Italian flavors.I would highly recommend it as a great suburban restaurant.
Run by a gorgeous family who are always so welcoming, the atmosphere is almost as good as the delicious food! I've been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend!
Great authentic Italian food. We had the lasagna and the chicken linguine. Delicious and good generous portion. Our friend told us about this place. This place is definitely underrated.<br/

you have to try this restaurant. I am sure they will not be dissatisfied with the diverse menu. we loved it for 7 jars.
