We spent a week in Whistler and ended up here 3 different nights. The drinks were delicious, the food was great but what made it even better was the service. We met Ansel our first night there, and when he learned it was my husband's birthday he went out of his way to create a beautiful plate of chocolates, fruit, and some special drinks. The second time we went was with our daughters and Ansel made that experience very special as well. We had heard about "Fairmont Friday" from some of the locals, so we checked it out on our last day. We went twice in the short time we were in Whistler and could have gone every day. Their music begins at 8 weeknights, with 2 sessions Friday and Saturday. There was a different artist both nights. Good acoustic guitarists playing at a nice volume. There is a small room with TVs for sports enthusiasts and outside seating as well. All very comfortable.Service was prompt and efficient. Our servers were very nice and gave us good tips. The poutine is good, if not overly creative and the Caesar had nice, maple bacon in it. All the sandwiches looked wonderful and portions are very large.They have an interesting chocolate bar but we split the salted caramel double chocolate sundae, thank goodness!...
The Mallard Lounge is situated in a beautiful spot with a lovely outdoor eating area. The wait staff did well, no complaints there. I guess the overall feeling that our family came away with was that the food was average and the price was outrageous for what we got. We literally had 2 burgers, fish and chips, a salad (and 2 beers) and with the tip it was over $200. One meal = $200? We realize Whistler is expensive, but it seemed to go beyond the norm. Again, lovely atmosphere but pricey.
Sorry to see poor reviews I ate here several times while in Whistler for a conference and found it great. They have gluten free fresh bread and can make nearly all of their sandwiches for you. Staff were knowledgeable and able to give advice. The put on fresh gloves and put a parchment cover down to protect my bread in their prep area and used fresh utensils to avoid CC. This charming lounge and bar, situated in the Fairmont hotel, offers cozy seating options both inside and outside. They have a wide variety of drinks and light snacks to choose from. We had a great experience trying out a couple of well-crafted cocktails. To our delight, they also served us some mixed nuts and pretzels as a bonus treat.
Had a lovely experience in the Mallard Lounge. Very relaxed room with a nice atmosphere. Nicole was a fantastic server and knew the wine and food menu inside out! Food was good but burger a bit dry. Muscles were amazing! Would recommend as a spot for drinks or lunch/dinner :-)
I had a lovely evening at this gorgeous lounge, listening to a talented guitarist while enjoying a drink and snack. I highly recommend trying the Margherita flatbread and truffle fries. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy great service.
Went and visited the bar out on a Thursday night while visiting Whistler. The night started off fine but then was greeted by a second bartender who was the rudest I have met. Treated us like we were losers. Will not be returning anytime soon!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Prices are too high for the amount of food you get. The atmosphere is nice though, right off the gen area and walking trail.
