This is one of the best Texan BBQ spots in Denver. The restaurant is spacious and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Upon entering, you'll find a bar to your left and a counter to your right where you can place your food order. They offer daily specials, but even without those, the prices are very reasonable. We decided to try the Ron Swanson, which consists of a full pound of brisket, pork, turkey, and pork belly for just $27. We also got the Jalapeño Bacon Mac and Cheese for $9 (though there's a smaller portion available for $5) and the Gooey Butter Cake for $5. The portions are generous and quite filling. This was my first time visiting the restaurant, and I decided to try the Texas-style sandwich with brisket. It was fantastic, with excellent smoke flavor and a nice bark on the meat. I added some of the house sauce to the sandwich, which really enhanced the meal. For my side, I chose the jalapeño mac and cheese, and it was incredibly rich and delicious. My wife enjoyed the Carolina-style sandwich with pulled pork, accompanied by fried okra. The fried okra was perfectly cooked, and the dipping sauce that came with it was just right. I can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu!
My husband and I stayed at nearby B&B for the weekend. We went here twice, Saturday and Sunday for dinner. We couldn’t get enough of the beef ribs, brisket, hot links, and pulled pork! They were amazing! The environment was excellent and I loved the atmosphere. The staff was quick and very friendly even though they were extremely busy both nights. Thank you for a wonderful meal, twice! We will definitely recommend anyone and everyone to go get some great BBQ.
best barbecue in Denver hands down. We got a bit of everything to try it all out. The gooey cake cornbread dessert is unreal and the closest thing I’ve had to a butter cake since moving out here. Barbecue itself was so smoky and cooked to perfection. Their mac and cheese was exceptional. Potato salad and baked beans were ok but would try different sides next time. Incredible! We discovered this restaurant through a gift card promotion at Costco, and we're so glad we did. We've been here several times now, and every visit has been outstanding. Our top picks are the ribs and brisket – they're perfectly tender and wonderfully seasoned. The mac and cheese is a must-try as well. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant itself is clean and modern. We’re definitely going to be lifelong customers!
The Texas-style pulled pork sandwich was fantastic! The pickles and sauce were amazing. As for the pork belly taco, wow, that slaw was outstanding! However, I wasn't a fan of the jalapeño bacon mac and the potato salad. I'm hoping I just visited on an off day. Still, I'll definitely be back for another try!
I cannot say enough positive things about Post Oak. Nick (the owner) has done such an awesome job with the place. The staff is always incredibly friendly. The meat and side selections are great. And the food itself… just wow. Every time I go it feels like a special treat. Best BBQ in Denver!
