The atmosphere and service were nice, the food was disappointing. Oysters were fine, if a little limp. Ordered both chowders the white one had plenty of clams, but tasted flavorless and nothing like a New England clam chowder. The red one tasted like the same thing, but with taco seasoning mixed in. The mussels were just okay, a small portion for the price, and I had to request bread, even though menu says they come with bread. The sauce felt too heavy. We ordered the smoked salmon linguine as well, and the sauce was weirdly sweet. I was there for my birthday. The service was ok, but the food was terrible I ordered the shrimp scampi it was over boiled I had bowls in my food and it tasted just like lemon juice. The fish tacos were very bland and the New England Clam Chowder was not the one we know it was a thick bell without taste. I couldn't finish it to this point and the server didn't seem to wash their hands after touching countless things, especially the bread she had black things under her nails, which troubled, even eating. I really hope they get it together and use some hygiene products for them.
I ordered the 1/2 bbq ribs lunch. Oh my goodness, they're absolutely delicious!! Also, they brew their own iced tea which was fabulous. I highly recommend if you're ever in Placerville, California, stop by and enjoy their food and staff.
Used to be better. I get the red clam chowder but lately not up to par, very salty, no taste and no clams that I could find. It's not expensive but that's no excuse for crapy food. Hope they get it together so I can return.
