My wife and I went on a Friday evening and it was quite crowded with a boisterous, senior crowd that you 'd encounter at a Sunset Special in Florida. We 're seniors ourselves so that was OK! We agreed to be seated in the back room since the front area was running behind on reservations. The folks in the front room looked like they were having fun and enjoying themselves. The back room was dead and felt like an afterthought. Wait for the front room. We were split on the food. We shared a small shrimp egg roll appetizer which was very tasty, but definitely small. My wife had the Lake Superior Whitefish...it was excellent, came with a huge side of mashed potatoes and a small one of broccoli. I...
I had a business lunch at PG. The food was very good, but the main reason that I would comeback is due to our server, Juan. He was excellent. He had a great ability to keep us well-served without interrupting the flow of our conversation at the table. He also refilled our drinks several times during the lunch and was almost invisible. It is quite a skill and Juan should be recognized. The food was very good. I had the Caesar with Chicken and Avocados. The chicken was very fresh and tender. The vegetables were fresh, and the salad had a dressing that was not too strong and not to dull--just right (at least for me). Well done Juan!
wonderful as always! The woman who served us was so nice! She was always there to make sure we had everything we needed. . and she recommended a great full-bodied cabernet for me. The catfish tempura was amazing! So tasty and fresh and crisp coating. . we really enjoyed it. Prairie Grass has become our favorite local restaurant
I dined at Prairie Grass for a friends birthday. What a splendid experience and wonderful meal. We loved the squash appetizer and vegetarian moussaka. The lentil and rice burger is delicious. We will be back to enjoy more of the menu; there are so many options!
This was my first time trying Alaskan Char. It was fantastic. My husband had the whitefish and he cleaned his plate. Everything was just the right portion. Our waiter was both attentive and helpful. We loved the ambience and look forward to aa return visit.
On a Saturday night it was almost impossible to hear anyone across the table. It's too bad because I like to support the owner and all she does for the community.
Wonderful experience and we will be back. Food was outstanding and our server, William, was the best!
