We went to Prime for my 50th birthday. The drinks at the bar were delicious and the bartender was friendly. We had reservations but still made to wait over 40 minutes for our table. My friend ordered a 2 lb male lobster. The waiter (who was very cocky) brought out a female lobster. He did ask if she would want to return it and wait for a male lobster. But after waiting so long for a table and then long periods of time in between courses, she did not want to wait again and that would mean she would be eating after we did. Visited on 8/6 for lunch at 12:00p.m. The lunch was great overall. Salmon was cooked perfectly Lobster Shrimp wontons were delicious. Quality food with effort put into each plate! The drinks, especially the “Babylon Express” was amazing! Waterfront views and ambiance were beautiful and peaceful. Everything was great except for the waitress who was a bit presumptuous about our wine knowledge. While we discussed having prosecco by the glass or bottle, the waitress decided to push into our conversation as she described prosecco to us. This place is horrible. We ate there last fall for an anniversary dinner. The service was terrible our waiter must have worked at Applebees before Prime. We tried again with our daughter last night. She is 10 months, quiet and well behaved. I made a reservation for 5:00 pm and told them ahead we were bringing a baby. We arrived at 5:10 and told we need to wait a few minutes and could have a seat. After 15 minutes and seeing parties already seated and eating, we told the hostess we were leaving and she practically showed us the door. They are rude and the food isn't worth putting up with such service. It's just mediocre, nothing makes your mouth sing.
They seem to be confused, fine dining or casual. Although reservations are required, they are not honored. We made reservations 2 weeks in advance, we were even called confirmed three hours prior still waited over an 1hr 1/2 for a table. Professionalism was definitely lacking in the service much training is needed starting with management. Their only saving grace was the Chef and the location. Even the wine list was lacking. They don't warrant the prices charged.

I have been here 5 times and enjoyed it each time. Not as pricey as other LI steakhouses and very good food always. Somewhat limited menu. The restaurant and outdoor bar is beautiful.

A fantastic place to go for food and drinks. Some of the best food you will ever have. The view is to die for.
