Stopped in on a Friday night while in town to catch a show, was around 5:00, place was packed ( which as a good sign ) sat at the bar, fast, friendly service. Great variety of beers for everyone from Microbreweries in and around Quebec. Also a wide choice on their menu, I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, which came within 5 minutes, it was excellent . I'm sure if I lived in this neighbourhood I would regularly stop in and have a beer. I would recommended to anyone who happens to be visiting this quant town to stop in at the Prohibition and enjoy a beer!
My wife and I stopped off at la Prohibition for a few pints. We had visited their website prior to going so we knew that their focus was on beer and not on food variety.We were really impressed with their beer selection and choose to accompany this with some food. The food was better than we had anticipated! It is fairly pub oriented food; nachos, chicken wings, etc.
that used to be one of my favorites to hang around with my friends. it is still a great place to win a beer and has a wider choice than an average sportable, but the selection has greatly reduced from the 200 it was earlier. every time I come, I have to ask for several different beers before I finally find one they've put on.
We love going out. Yesterday we visited this fine place which friends recommended to us. We spent a lovely experience there with first-rate food and an efficient crew and a talented cook. This spot is the one I like best. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this place I go the most. The stuff is very professional and the cooking they place on your table is so tasty. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice dinner here. Highly recommended.
Sebastien, the owner, is okay, but the other owner seems to not like me. I feel treated like nothing, even though I spend a minimum of $25 every time.
A safe bet, always satisfied leaving prohibition, never dissapointed. Great pub with great ambiance, great beer and good food to accompany it.
