We had a tough time finding a restaurant open on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend, so we stumbled upon PT's purely by chance. We were really lucky because we ended up loving the place! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of beer while ordering burgers and hot dogs. They offer both an 8-ounce burger and a 4-ounce mini version. I opted for the 8-ounce burger, and my husband chose the 4-ounce along with a hot dog. The French fries were the highlight of our meal—better than Five Guys! I absolutely love PT's Old Fashioned Grille! They serve amazing hamburgers; my husband enjoys the large ones, while I prefer the smaller size. Their chicken sandwich and salad with grilled chicken are also fantastic. There are plenty of other delicious options on the menu as well. Everything is always fresh and very flavorful. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. It’s definitely the best place in Wilmington, and one of our favorite spots to visit!
I am new to area and went here based off of reviews, which for the life of me, I don't get. The burger was so dry. I literally had to keep adding ketchup to even chew it. Then I saw the cook putting these weights on the burgers to cook them faster, so that explains the dryness. If you have ever gotten a burger at a concert or sporting event, this duplicates that experience. Food: 1
PT's has implemented an excellent ordering system that uses a ticket for you to select your meal and add any toppings or sides you desire. While PT's is not a fast-food restaurant, their service is prompt and the ordering process is straightforward. Their cheeseburgers are the standout specialty. If Matthew McConaughey were to ask me for the best burger spot in the South, this would be my top recommendation. The vibe is unbeatable, capturing the true spirit of Carolina, with fantastic fries and mouthwatering burgers. Plus, the service is exceptional; they would go above and beyond for you! I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10 every time.
This was one of those places that you find by accident. The food and service was really great. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area. This is my son's favorite restaurant in the area. The food is excellent, and the customer service is outstanding as well. He highly recommends the chicken tenders!
