We visited this restaurant today, April 26th, and had a conversation with the new owners who had recently taken over. It's important to note that the negative reviews from March don't seem to be related to the current owners. The place has been renovated and was extremely clean. The menu has a good variety, including vegetarian and Quorn options. We enjoyed a tasty jacket potato with beans and a cheese toastie on quality brown bread with a side salad. The coffee was good and overall we couldn't fault it. It was quiet during our visit, possibly due to previous negative reviews, but we found the new owner to be very nice. my elders and I went to lunch on Thursday afternoon. we had all really delicious lunch. I liked my a lot of winds was a big bowl spaghetti with a lush garlic and saw bacon a herb that worked well with the sauce. I saw how my cooking was in the kitchen, which was an additional bonus I loved to see how my eating was cooked before me. my mother had a huge fish and chips that looked amazing. dad chose a smaller meal that looked good. dad also tried my pasta and liked it. the staff is great and our waitress was beautiful. 10/10 from me and my parents. we'll come back and see you soon on our next trip.

This restaurant is very reasonably priced, with freshly cooked food that arrived promptly. There is a good variety of options including burgers, breakfast items, chips, toasties, jacket potatoes, cakes, and coffee. Vegetarian options are available, and there may also be children's portions on the menu. The restaurant is clean, and the friendly lady owner who served us was pleasant. However, I recommend putting up a sign or some advertising to inform people that the restaurant is under new management. Hopefully, previous customers will return and see that it is now a great place to eat and drink.

I ordered the "homemade" steak and onion pie with mashed potatoes. Instead, I received a small store-bought pie with burnt onions and some kind of meat, along with chips instead of mash. I asked them to take it back and bring me what I actually ordered, but by the time it finally arrived, the pie was gone. Additionally, I was not informed that they do not accept cards, so my partner had to pay in cash. The service was very slow, and overall, I was not pleased with the experience. Called for early lunch/late breakfast. What friendly staff and as good a breakfast as anywhere. Freshly cooked, locally sourced and well presented by friendly staff. Very clean and will become a regular place to visit

Visited with husband and friends last week from Scotland. CARBONARA was to die for. Fajitas and baked potatoes were excellent as was the staff and the service. Will return on our next visit to Southport
