Horrific! I wouldn't eat this food with someone else's mouth. The chicharron de pollo is literally a pile of skin and bones. The chickens they used must have an eating disorder. Shrimp, if you want to call it that was barely the size of my thumb nail. I get that that shrink but they must have been small to begin with to become extra small after the cooking process. Garlic sauce, wasn't very garlicy and leaked everywhere. They don't have everything listed on the menu, yet another disappointment. Basically this meal is like 85% rice and the rice wasn't really all of that either. The sauce for the beans was also very thin and watery. When I tell you that this is the place to go, I really mean it. I had the pleasure of dining in and supporting small businesses like this one. The owner, Ana, was delightful, very friendly and sweet. The portions of the food at this place were huge. The flavors of the food were amazing, they made my taste buds explode. We ordered the baked chicken, which came with rice, beans, and plantains. The chicken was cooked perfectly, very juicy and tender. We also tried the BBQ chicken, which was also delicious. This is my go-to restaurant near my workplace. I have been a regular here since day one, so the service is always friendly and familiar. Occasionally, new employees may have language barriers, but the food is consistently delicious. It's like eating a home-cooked meal in a cozy environment. I come here at least three times a week and find the prices to be fair for the quality of the food. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a satisfying meal.
Although not spacious, this Dominican restaurant on 89th Avenue is a solid choice. The place is tidy and offers tasty Latino dishes. I tried the Turkey wings with rice and beans, and my wife loved them too. The meat was cooked perfectly, falling off the bone Dominican-style. My office is located right by this restaurant, so I have had the chance to try their food a few times. The baked chicken is always flavorful, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. The maduros are consistently good, and you get a generous portion of food for a reasonable price.
The food at this restaurant is not good. They only seem to specialize in rice dishes. I would say about 70% of their menu consists of rice dishes and the pernil (roast pork) is not good either.
