I found this place while exploring en route back to the NJTransit station. Rahway is in deep trouble if this is the best fried chicken they can do! The place is no frills, with very colorful menus hanging up. Several tables and an ice cream counter. The chicken is quick and cheap but tastes like it is. I got the two piece mix for $6.40. The chicken was bland and super dry and got caught in my throat several times. I didn't eat it the same day but fried chicken should still hold up and other fried chicken I have tastes good the next day. This spot is the very definition of more than meets the eye. In my quest to explore the area a bit further I stumbled upon this chicken spot looking for something cheap and filling. However, I was left with the impression that this is more than your run of the mills chicken fix. I understand that my experience may have been affected by timing, as I arrived a bit late to pick up my order after struggling to park. This added to my frustration and may have impacted my overall impression. I had a craving for wasabi, but there wasn’t enough provided with the sushi, and I was charged an extra 50 cents for a small container. I ordered three rolls—the spider roll, shrimp tempura roll, and Rahway roll—totaling around $40. The rolls felt heavy, and I struggled to finish six pieces, two from each roll. I was in Rahway and craving sushi, so I decided to check out this restaurant, which had fantastic reviews. I had no idea that it would turn out to be the best sushi I've ever tasted! It was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The miso soup was also amazing—truly to die for. I just wish I lived closer; I’ll definitely make it a point to visit whenever I'm in the area. The restaurant is very clean, and it’s clear that they take pride in both their food and the overall presentation.
This has been my absolute favorite restaurant since discovering it 6 years ago. The food is always fresh and everything I’ve tried on their menu has been delicious, making it hard to decide what to order when I go there! However the amazing people who work there is what also keeps me coming back, they put their love into their food and in connecting with their customers. Sushi is fantastic, also highly recommend their bulgogi don!
I don't know if I went on an off day but the food was horrible. I was very excited to come here given the ratings, but was very disappointed with the food. I had a regular roll and a special roll and both were not good, the fish just didn't taste fresh. The service was prompt and the server was very nice. The place is very small and was playing Korean music,an interesting atmosphere.
This restaurant is terrible! I got sick after eating here, and I really didn't enjoy it at all. I was only here because my parents made me come.
