I have been eating here since 1988. In the 80's this was the go to place to hit while carousing downtown Oshawa. Lots of interesting pics, facts, and pieces of history up on this places walls to keep the most dour date happy and talking. The staff here is freindly, and the postions are good. Unfortunately, I remneber a time when the food was worth the money I paid. The quality in this establishment has gone downhill over so many years, and I do believe their customer base consists of a lot of old people used to grabbing food when in town..much like I do,by habit. Go around the corner to the White Apron if you want breakfast and burgers.
I have wanted to come here forever. The menu seems so wild on line. We went in the morning and most lunch type foods were not available yet. Tod bad, I wanted one of those funky items they had for lunch. I settled for their special breakfast. The slabs of peamal bacon were huge!! like eating a steak. Lots of food,..too much really. Prices were what was to be expected for such a big meal. My spouse had the eggs benny, ..she thought the eggs a bit small in size but the food was very tasty. Too much for both of us, we took a take out box and ate more the next day. I will be back for a crazy lunch menu item.
My son and his friends love this place decent prices for all you can eat sushi and related food. We go there as a family occasionally and have fun the sushi is presented well, the servers are nice and everyone has a good time and eats well. <br/ <br/ The decor is a bit questionable let's call it eclectic and the sign to tell you where the bathroom is rocks. <br/ <br/ If you're looking for all you can eat at a great price, stay away from the fancier places and come here.
One of my favourite breakfast places in Durham region. <br/ <br/ The atmosphere is great and the staff extremely friendly. <br/ <br/ I usually have their egg and bacon special. The portions are extremely generous and the price for food is reasonable. <br/ <br/ They do NOT take debit, but they do have an ATM on site. I recommend bringing cash and saving the service fee. <br/ <br/ Overall I recommend eating here, it is an Oshawa staple.
Do yourself a favour and eat here. Because if you haven't yet, your life is lacking. Service is fast and very friendly, portions are more than any other establishment provides and the atmosphere is PERFECT. It's no wonder they have been going strong for 62 years! 62 YEARS!!! That there, says it all. GO. Now. And thank me later.
Called into the Rainbow today to Order their Amazing Steak and Eggs and Eggs Benny. I have to hand it to them, everything was perfection! It’s nice to see in these unpredictable times, the Rainbow never fails to deliver quality food, and unbeatable prices. Keep up the great work and Thank you for Everything you do!
Without question best diner in Durham. Classic greasy spoon for those difficult end of weekend breakfasts. Also all the sandwiches are amazing. I have yet to tackle there giant famous plate. It's intimidating when the classic gmc breakfast is hard to finish.
I am supposed to watch my cholesterol but hey who cares when the food is this good. Try the eggs benedict with the corned beef. Ooooh! The service is excellent and the milieu is very old school Canadian. A real gem of a place.
This breakfast spot in the Durham region is the best! They serve huge portions, have been family-owned for 40-50 years, offer good prices, and provide great service. Their peameal bacon is awesome!
