Love the Raj, especially the Sunday banquet (not a buffet) very good value. An update the Raj is still the best Indian restaurant in Witney. Beautifully fresh prawn puri and onion bhajis, light and crispy. The lamb naga is fantastic!!! But not unless you're committed to the chili Great service and really friendly, good food advice, generous portions and good value. We've eaten here twice this week, had different food, and kept some for the next day (too much just for dinner).
After our usual Indian restaurant on the hill, we decided to try somewhere different. We came across Raj and were delighted by the incredibly tasty and freshly prepared food. The portion sizes were satisfying and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We returned for a second visit to confirm it wasn't a fluke, and were pleased to find that the experience was just as amazing the second time around. Raj is now our go-to spot for delicious Indian cuisine.
I ate in here over 3 years ago, I was disappointed at the time, i thought it was very bland and overpriced. Since then I have heard nothing but good things in the past 6 months and me and my mate thought we’d try it again. We went up to the door and no word of a lie they looked dead, there was nobody in there apart from the staff. We were very dubious, to say the least. But thank god we tried it! Seriously, it’s amazing, I will be back!
Very friendly service and beautifully prepared dishes. The naan was fluffy and freshly made. The saag paneer had the yummiest (definitely homemade) paneer. The curries were seasoned with care with tender chicken. The proprietor was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I'm allergic to garlic and they were able to make dishes I could eat. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. The food is so tasty and delicious and beats other restaurants hands down. I've eaten at many of the others including the Shaan but this is the best in my opinion. I've ordered lamb, beef and chicken dishes here.over time and The Raj just does them all justice. Thank you for the excellent food and service.
amazingly beautifully presented delicious eating, family friendly, good quality, but still reasonable price. always let them feel full and happy. to taste new dishes, has only impressed themselves, so they not only stay good at old favorite cooking specialities. nice staff eating and saying hello.
We ordered delivery from The Raj over the weekend. The delivery was prompt, and the food was tasty and affordable. We would definitely order from them again.
