This place is tucked away in the Prospect village shopping centre in a location that has has seen many places come and go. The food is traditional north Indian cuisine just like I grew up eating at home. It is authentic, and utterly delicious. The decor is extremely basic and it is not licensed. The staff are friendly and the food is cooked freshly throughout the day so you may experience a wait if you happen to come in at a time when what you order is in the process of being cooked. Gem of a place. You would hardly know it from outside, opposite a supermarket carpark, but when you go in it’s like entering Aladdin’s Cave. Great atmosphere. A welcome note was on our table marking our family occasion a nice touch. Very friendly staff, lovely food aromatic, not too hot, not oily. Butter chicken was the best I’ve had in a long time. Lamb curry, vegetables, rice and naan were excellent. Very tidy establishment with clean bathrooms. A little pricier than other Indian restaurants nearby, but Rasooi makes a real effort and we felt made a special night.
My wife and I hand a fantastic three-course meal at Rasooi Indian Restaurant. The best Indian food in Adelaide bar none. The hostess was warm and super friendly only excelled by the traditional home cooked style Indian food. We will be back even if it is a long drive for us, well worth it. It's in the little mall with Foodland. Unpretentious but oh so good! If you are a visitor to Adelaide it is only 8 minutes from the CBD on buses G10, A20 and 477. Mike Hess
The customer service at this restaurant is poor and it takes a long time to receive your food. The staff is not experienced and often forgets to serve complimentary items. The food is served cold and customer complaints are not resolved. Despite paying a higher price for the expectation of good service and hot food, the restaurant does not deliver. Today I stumbled upon Rasooi while looking for lunch and it turned out to be my new favorite Indian restaurant in Adelaide. The food was amazing with an authentic Indian taste, generous portions, reasonable prices, and high quality. I highly recommend it, thank you Vikas ji!
I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a tiny Indian restaurant nestled inside an arcade off Prospect Road. They offer generous portions of delicious Indian cuisine at an affordable price. I particularly enjoyed their flavorful dhal and chicken masala dishes.
Loved dinner here. Such a cute place, lots of rooms in the old villa. A cool bar and great deck in the back yard. The food was delicious, service great. Lots of Indian families enjoying dinner here the night we visited. Will definitely retrun
