Very nice German establishment with classic dishes and a simple but exciting menu. There are several vegan and vegetarian options; the eggplant schnitzel with vegan mushroom gravy was delicious as were the sides: braised red cabbage and potato cakes. We started with a pretzel that was excellent, very much a stand out as it was buttery, warm, and had a perfect golden crust. The drinks are equally delicious whether you opt for alcohol or without. This visit I got the Pear Zero, and it was very tasty; last visit I had it s alcoholic counterpart that was equally good. Oh, my friends had such a fantastic time at Rathskeller for Oktoberfest! The weather was beautiful and they enjoyed dining outside. The coffee shop and downstairs bar added to the ambience. The music was incredible, with different musicians performing every hour. Located in the heart of historic Eldridge, Maryland, this place is a true gem. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. They also offer a great selection of German beer and wine. For Ravens fans, they have a delicious "purple drink" that is a must-try.
Holy cow, this place is great! I really wish their hours were a little better, even staying open just one more hour would be nice, but hey, with food this good, just do whatever you want, so long as you stay open!!! Super good food. I had the jägerschnitzel, my wife had the rahmschnitzel, and my friend ordered the special for the evening which was a pork shank. We all ordered different sides, and we had the potato cakes as a starter. Everything was exquisite. Highly
We finally made it to the Rathskeller Restaurant in Elkridge and were not disappointed with our visit. We love good German cuisine which is hard to find in our area. Based on our lunch today at the restaurant, we now have a great place to satisfy our cravings for German food. We had the wurst platter $55) which came with two large sides. Our food was delicious, the staff was knowledgeable, and the basement area has such a great pub vibe. If I had to complain, our delicious jalapeño poppers which kicked every other popper ever out of competition only came with three poppers and there was two of us. Not a great split. This place is absolutely cozy and beautiful! The food is delicious and the service is phenomenal! Parking is a bit dicey, but there is a larger parking lot not too far away. If it's a weekend night DEFINITELY make reservations if you're a large party. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
