I was driving to my son's birthday party when my brake line blew. I had to pull into parking lot there and all of the other businesses were abandoned and up for sale or rent and Ravanesi wasn't open for about an hour ... I hadn't seen anyone inside, and because I was parked in the lot and right up against the road kind of, I was worried about being towed so I called the realtor to see if I can leave my truck there until I got it picked up. Well while I was on the Phone, somebody from the pizza shop had come in to prepare to open later that afternoon and came out with bottled water and told my husband that if we needed to use the bathroom or wanted to ot wait inside we were more than welcome...
Went there based on recommendation. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly staff and asked if I had been there before, when I said I hadn't, they proceeded to provide a fresh sample that put any reservations I had about quality to rest. The sample was simple and TASTY. I have had pizza from pretty much all over the east coast but nothing like this, this is one of the best if not the BEST. Simple menu, simple ingredients and just great taste. Many restaurants can learn how to treat customers from the staff and owner, at this place.I had reserved dough a week in advance and I arrived at 6 p.m. and was out by about 6:20. They were not taking anymore reservations for the day.
my man and I made a pizza a week ago. we were told how good the pizza was and how fresh the ingredients were. Oh, my goodness, that was an understatement, it was fantastic. the owner was such a nice and friendly guy and explained everything about his ingredients all freshly made and was very welcoming to us and so was our waitress. we are so glad that we finally have the opportunity to try out the best pizza and the best people in the city. next time try the Arugula pizza. it is so good that they have to order their teig a head of time. I would highly recommend and we look forward to our next visit. angelo and theresa thanks!
This is a great little pizza place! Gourmet and authentic pizzas that all taste great. The owner and staff go out of their way to welcome and thank you for coming in. There was a stream of regulars coming in that were all greeted by name as well, hoping to achieve that status at some point too!Pizzas were fresh and delicious. I had been told about this place for a long time, and I was on my way all over the world and eat many great pizzas, I curious to see how good it was. I write this review six months after my visit, as I can't stop thinking about it. this is the best pizza I've ever eaten and will ever eat. the sopressata piccante is incredible. the spicy sopressata is incredible and has the perfect amount of spicy. I can't wait to eat here again.
ravanesi pizza is the best pizza I ever had outside of neapel, and dave and his personal are the sweetest people of all time. not only the pizza phenomenal, amazing, tasty and perfectly made every time, but everyone there is friendly, care and attention. I cannot support this restaurant enough. they are simply amazing everywhere, I am so excited every time we get the opportunity to go there.
A spectacular and unforgettable dining experience. This is probably the best pizza in the Philadelphia area. They really mean business here. There is a reason why you have to make a reservation here and they only make 100 pizza doughs per day that they are open. Please come here with a reservation. You will never regret it! I can’t wait to return.
