We had chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and both were definitely homemade. The food was delicious. The service was speedy. They offered bread either wheat or jalapeno cheddar. It was a little dry and we would have liked more jalapeno kick to it. Try it out. You won't leave hungry.
You'll need Google Maps to locate this hidden gem off Route 66. The one exit is strategically placed for easy access. Red River restaurant is the perfect spot for a filling lunch. Don't forget to stay hydrated, as you're still in the dusty Dust Bowl region.
What a pleasant surprise. We where traveling and came across this gem. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. If you get a chance to stop please do you won't be disappointed

Best steak I've had in ages, very tender and flavourful. The Gouda soup was delicious too, every portion generous, and not terribly pricey.
Great food and a truly authentic setting. I'd eat there again. The ribeye was excellent. 2nd time there today. Will go there again.
Soooo good!!! We stopped in on a road trip. Steak was fantastic, there is even a lunch sized one! And free cobbler for dessert!!
