My family and I have been going to Pacific Fish for centuries (lol) but we decided to try Crab House today. I was pleasantly surprised.
Pros: They have a lot more variety of food on their menu, including Cajun, Hawaiian garlic shrimp, fried whole fish, clam chowder, corn on the cob, etc. There was no crazy wait, the dining room was large and spacious. The ajumas were thoughtful and brought out the fries quickly knowing it was for my hungry toddler. Like a true Korean restaurant, they also provided us with some service. The crab was $29.99 per pound and each crab was about 2 pounds. It tasted great, just like at Pacific Fish.

I gave this restaurant 4 stars mainly because of its location. It is situated right at the heart of Redondo Beach Pier. I have known of this restaurant for over 30 years and it has always been in this spot. The view of the beach and beach-goers from your seat is amazing. The food was tasty, albeit a bit expensive, but the location makes it worth it. The crab is always market price, so it may vary each time you visit. The restaurant is located by the beach, providing a great view. However, the food was pricey and average at best. My family and I spent $181 on our meal before tip and tax. The soups were okay but can be better found elsewhere. We decided against ordering crab legs due to the high cost. The appetizers and main dishes we did order were mediocre. The steamed baby octopus was probably the best dish, but it's hard to go wrong with steamed octopus. The Cajun seafood was too salty and greasy, the shrimp were overcooked, and some of the clams were lacking meat. The clam chowder tasted canned and lacked clam flavor. Great food but expensive. You can get the same food for a cheaper price next door. If you want a nice quiet place away from the crowd, this may be the place. Sat right next to the window, and the sound of the wave makes everything better. We had a party of more than 6, and there is an automatic 15% gratitude fee, which is okay, but service could have been better. They barely checked on us until we went up and asked for assistance. Typical boiled and steam seafood, not very Asian for being a Korean owned restaurant. Seafood is great but I wish there was more options to how the seafood can be cooked. Spent more than $475 for a party of 8.

I am a picky eater, but have no problem here. Smaller portions and interesting recipes and saucing really help. I met a friend here for dinner and it did not disappoint, The food is very good. I have not been to all the restaurants in LA but I do not disagree with the #1 rating. The food tasted great.
Nice view chill atmosphere,quality is sad and they try to cheat with 2 filet of fish was,small junks of fish and full with flavor and such smart way to cheat.Breaded so well and so soft in the middle that is hard to realize that you are eating everything but fish......? ? ? sad but thru.
I fee likely cheated by business owner. no show me ounce of scale sitting beyond cash counter, kitchen worker grabbing crab plus water splashed into plastic container on sitting scale. I requested drain water out of plastic box either can't access to see weight of crab pounds.
They do a nice job here. A big part of the experience is the Fisherman’s Wharf ambience. Everything is basic, but the seafood is fresh and cooked well. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing atmosphere, So humble and professional service. Great food list with reasonable price. One of my absolute favorite of all time.
