I think I found my new favorite restaurant! This unassuming restaurant serves up the most delicious food. The atmosphere and staff are full of character. Nathan was our server today, and was absolutely hilarious. He really made our experience shine. Order anything off the menu and I am sure you will be pleased. The food is plated beautifully, accented with color, and full of flavor. The hot and sour soup was probably the best soup I've ever had. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACEUP. Delicious, large portions for very reasonable prices, delightful staff, and inviting art. I will be back!
The food is absolutely five stars. It 's not your usual oh, I think I fancy Chinese take out tonight .. And that 's not a bad thing. The flavors are fresh, portions generous, and menu exciting. The only drawback is the size of space and the overwhelming smell of kitchen space which is open to dining room. I want to smell my food, I don 't necessarily want to be inundated with all the scents coming from the kitchen. Because of this, I sit in the back courtyard whichis lovely but limits the time frame of when I can eat there. But the food is en Pointe.
My daughter and her husband love this place, but my own experience was nothing special. Passable and about-average Chinese food. I know they also offer dishes that are a kind of Chinese-Southern fusion, so maybe I will need to try those next time. It was a very busy place when I visited, so obviously there are a lot of people who enjoy their food.
I miss living so close to this location! Everything I have ever tried has been satisfying, but honestly the star of the show is the rice. I'm not sure what kind of magic or animal is needed to sacrifice in order to achieve the quality of rice, but I could just eat the rice.
