This place is proof that you don't need to wear a cowboy hat in Texas to make fantastic barbecue. The meats will make your spurs spin on your boots. I ate a stampedes worth of food. I tried the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork 3 meat combo and all of them were slow cooked to perfection with a smokey taste of savory wonder. The Mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes are infused with that smokiness as well. Also tried the Defibrillator sandwich, appropriately titled after how much I ate, and it was an an absolute splendor. I drove an hour to get here and it was more than worth the drive. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly, but they always seemed a bit unprepared. Some menu items were unavailable, drinks weren't chilled, and so on. However, the place looked clean, and it was evident that the staff enjoyed their work, which definitely contributes to a better overall experience. While most menu items are reasonably priced, I found the chicken wings to be a bit expensive—$2.00 for a single small wing feels a bit steep. But who knows what rising costs they might be facing? Food was great! My fiancé and I ordered the 3 meat platter- brisket, and picked the ribs option twice. Our sides were a medium Mac and a personal baked beans. I will say we did have to customize the sides at home, but it was still good. The meat were tender and smoky. Oh and the spicy bbq sauce is a must! I personally think when restaurants sauce claims to be spicy it 's very mild or non existent. This sauce is just right...but the food was good with/without the sauce. I Will definitely return.

I 've heard about this place for a while now and finally decided to try it out. It wasn 't a bad drive to get over there. So I went through the menu before hand and decided to get The Defibrillator. It was Pulled Pork, Maple Bourbon Mustard, Whisky Sour Pickles, Onions, Pepper Jack Cheese and 2 bacon wrapped Jalapeño Poppers. I would go back here .
Great place to grab some BBQ. Love the chill atmosphere and the staff was great. We sat outside enjoying the great weather and enjoying some good brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was REALLY GOOD and the best I had had in Jersey. We had the fries, mac and cheese and beans, all also very good. Would definitely recommend.
Super good brisket--like really, really good. I'm not big into BBQ especially here in NJ because most places can't do it right. This place is legit. Also, their service is great. Super good staff and eats. 10/10.
I tried the Ribs and Chicken as well as the cheesy mashed potatoes and baked beans. All very good. To me this is the best bbq spot in Bergen, worth a try if your in the area.

Fantastic restaurant! It's a quick and convenient option for family dinners. It may be a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it.
