During a recent visit to my old neighborhood and this pizza spot, I encountered an upsetting situation. They refused to serve my mother because she has a service dog, which is fully trained and clearly marked with a vest and leash. This is not only highly illegal but also discriminatory. The staff member insisted that he didn’t care that it was a service animal and claimed it was just a pet, stating it was his rule because it was his restaurant. While that may be acceptable in Italy, it is definitely not compliant with laws here.
To make matters worse, I had to wait a long time for a simple cheese pizza, which was mediocre at best. I also found it surprising that they ran out of cheese pizz...
Small pizzeria/restaurant on Sound Beach Ave. No neon lights. Easy to miss. One night I didn't feel like driving home and cooking, and wasn't dressed for fancy.Simple, clean with4 or5 booths for seating. Looks to be family owned and run. Very nice staff. Menu covered all the Italian favorites and some. Each time we go back we try a different dish and pizza. So far everything we've tried was really very well prepared, better than some more expensive Italian restaurants we've gone to.Their chefs know how Italian food is supposed to be prepared and taste, from the pizza crust to the different sauces on the dinners. ReNapoli is one of my favorite restaurant in the area. They have great tiramisu, garlic knots, pizza, and lots of delicious food, but their Cobb Salad is the BEST COBB SALAD EVER!!! Just look at that deliciousness! ?I also love their tiramisu. The Italian Beef isn't much like a real Chicago Italian Beef, but it hits the spot especially if you've never had an authentic Chicago Italian Beef, like most East Coasters.The parking is very annoying, but it's expected for that small busy area. Their online service is quick, so I'm out of the area just a few minutes after arriving.
My pizza was AMAZING: I just happened to stop while traveling and entered the small restaurant. I was giving a talk at a bookstore nearby so I needed time to sit and get my notes together--and I was THRILLED by the quality of the food (I had a small white-anchovy pizza) and the charm of the service. I was the only patron in the place, but they were doing a brisk take-out service. Clearly everybody who lives near this place loves it. I would absolutely eat here every week if I lived nearby and I am putting in on list of must-go-again places for when I travel.

I’m a big fan of Renapoli’s Diavola pizza — tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, sopressata picante, hot pepper oil, and shaved piave cheese, coming together for the perfect amount of flavor and spicy kick. The burrata and prosciutto pizza is another solid option. I’ve also had their pepperoni pizza by the slice; while not quite as delicious as the Diavola, I thought each slice was a very generous size.
The cashiers handle both cash and credit cards, and then they touch the pizza with their bare hands. This practice is unacceptable and poses serious hygiene concerns.

Ordered a small mushroom pizza and it was worst I ever got! Terrible tomato sauce, almost no cheese, and almost no mushroom!

Food is excellent, you can tell that is made with much care. The pizza was great too. Definitely a place to come back.
