My husband and I stayed for 1 night and booked in for dinner. Having not been able to find a menu online prior to our booking it didn't make it easy for us to book but we did anyway. Upon arrival I scanned a code in my bedroom which took us to the menu choices. I was delighted there was lovely choices and not just the set menu that I was expecting to get. We had a drink in our room which lead out onto a ground floor seating area which is extremely dog friendly we were delighted. When we arrived upstairs at the restaurant at 19:45 we were told that there was only one choice of main meal left and a choice of 2 started the soup or the pate. Although booked for 09:30 it took 15mins to get shown to a table Then a further 15-20 mins to get order taken On arrival the poached egg was like a hard boiled egg! Gas’s to ask for the potato scones that were missing The self service area was lacking in produce on arrival but was restocked whilst sitting Staff were friendly but being run off feet the hotel needs to re-evaluate the staffing levels during busy times weekends!
the staff was great and the restaurant manager did his best to respond to our care, but in view of the high number of diners they had real challenges to get a satisfactory level of service both in terms of the quality of food and on the table. the time between a cursor to the table and the next was over 30 minutes.
We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was top-notch and beautifully presented, and the staff was friendly and eager to please. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Food is lovely so is the staff just not enough of them service is terrible but not thier fault they are working so hard and are very pleasant come on Macdonal Hotels working people so hard is wrong
We had to wait a long time to be served (it seemed like they had forgotten about us) and when the food finally arrived, the quality, especially the child's meal, was very poor.
I had a great breakfast at this restaurant. They had a variety of cooked dishes as well as a good selection of fruit and pastries on the continental buffet table.
The staff were really friendly, food was fantastic, really enjoyed the evening meal given plenty of time between courses and enjoyed breakfast.
