this was our third visit in the repetition 18 and our first one in a week night. while our first two visits were dominated by the logging entertainment (the dave stevens show), which was excellent, this visit was quiet. as usual we enjoyed original handmade cocktails before eating. On March 24 at 5:17 PM, our server was exceptional. The food is very good, and the ambiance is ideal for groups of two to four. However, the loud noise and drunkenness can detract from that atmosphere. It's unfortunate that many people gather around the bar area, drinking and creating a raucous environment filled with profanity and laughter, which can encroach upon the tables of those seeking a more relaxed dining experience in a cozy setting.
As noted in other reviews, they are understaffed so service was slow (but good). Small plates quite good. Fabulous beet/citrus salad. Fun cocktail menu. Limited beer menu. Nice ambience. Will be an excellent outdoor place once it warms up.
The corned beef was tough. They were out of Bombay Sapphire, and the key lime bread pudding was too runny, overly green, and tasted as if it had Parmesan cheese in it. I couldn't eat it. However, the French fries were quite good.
Service staff very friendly but spread too thin...20+ minutes from initial seating before even seeing anyone...30 min to order drinks. We had no food but survey won't submit w/o rating
I visited for the first time and definitely won't be my last. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and I loved the atmosphere!
