We went to the restaurant last night. We've been through Normandy for a week and this was our first night in the Cherbourg area. My girlfriend chose an I 'abri of the flot because it should serve great seafood. We came late and without reservation, but were lucky to get a last free table in a window. The first impression was not so good, there were four types of flies sitting on the window and Coyrtains next to us. We were hungry and the opinions of the restaurant were so good that we stayed. we came across this restaurant by accident whilst touring the Cherbourg peninsular. We decided to have a Planche du Midi here and although I was rather hesitant I was not disappointed. The meal arrived all 3 courses together on a plank. (the direct translation of...Planche) The starter was cauliflower and Muscle soup, I don't usually do muscles but this soup was delicious and the muscles were very tasty and in no way rubbery. The next course was a pork escalope in a mushroom and onion sauce, followed by a very light choux filled with a lemon mousse. it was all very tasty. The service was excellent and the staff could speak English. (Although we do usually get by in French it is always useful...
We have had diner here for the second time in a year, and we were again pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. All very fresh, all prepared with an eye for detail and perfection. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant (beautifully located at...an old Harbor). High price quality coefficient and very pleasant service!

This restaurant is a few miles from Cherbourg, but very rewarding. Popular among locals. Prepare the freshest seafood, a small but very good menu. The restaurant is always busy with excellent staff, Best to make a booking.
