The town of Bönigen saved and renovated Restaurant Bären, located in the town center. Mr. and Mrs. Hulliger now run the restaurant . She is in the kitchen, he is serving the guests - unusual as the the restaurant itself. Until now, you will only find local people in the restaurant, tourists haven't dicovered the place, yet. There are two menu-cards: a small one for daily business with a classical choice of local dishes - the dishes are served at noon mainly for working people: a lot of good food for very little money. And the other menu-card is not overloaded: just a few specialities, good prices. And as Mrs. Hulliger is Asian, you will get asian specialities, too. Check Restaurant Bären out...
we ate here during the stay in interlaken and wanted from the tourist area. we wanted dinner on the lake and based on other reviews, restaurant baren gave a shot. we're glad we made it. amazing service and presentation and vitor, our. server went beyond and beyond to make our dinner great. not the cheapest, but worth the experience. the bark and salate plate was fabulous. if they do not want to pay for overpriced bad eating in interlaken, that should be a go-to. even if they have children, there is a great play zone.

Wir übernachteten in einem nahegelegenen Hotel und man arrangierte, dass wir hier zu Abend essen konnten. Unser Engelin hatte besondere Ernährungsbedürfnisse und die nackten Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich. Ansonsten ist ihr normales Essen erstklassig. sehr beliebt, daher kann es sein, dass sie warten müssen, wenn sie nicht gebucht haben.
We were staying at a nearby hotel for B & B and they arranged for us to have our evening meals here. Our granddaughter had special dietary requirements and the Baren staff were amazing. Apart from that, their normal food is first class. Very popular, so you may have to wait if you have not pre-booked.
