This was our first visit to Chez Lien in DDO. The place looked quite quaint and we ordered 2 dishes as well as an appetizer. One of the dishes was a stir fry chicken in red curry sauce. It took all of 5 minutes to get the dish which we suspected may have been already been sitting there in the kitchen. The chicken looked like boiled chicken and in no way was stir fried. We immediately pointed this out to our waitress and asked if we could order another dish since we werent in the mood for boiled chicken. She insisted this was the way their chef prepared the dish. We have eaten in many other vietnamese restaurants and ordered stir fry....never like this. She refused to take it back so we left...
We've been regular customers of Chez Lien for many years. The wonderful Vietnamese young woman who operates it with her uncle who serves tables are very warm and friendly, always smiling. This is a bring your own wine place, so it's great for an inexpensive night out. Food is consistently good, tasty and servings are generous. The meal soup with charcoal grilled chicken is fantastic. My husband loves the combination meal F which includes their thin grilled beef, chicken, and shrimp skewer, with a spring roll, rice and lettuce. For dessert, the fried banana is a must with ice cream, enough to share. Decor is old and dated though and could really use some help, especially the old carpet floori...
Chez Lien is a BYOB place that serves tasty Vietnamese food at a reasonable price. Service is very efficient and friendly and food comes very quickly which is great when you are hungry or have a limited time to eat. Everything we have tried on the menu is delicious.It is great place for a break from cooking at home any night and is also a great place to go with friends or family that won't break the bank. The BYOB makes that even easier, and there is an SAQ right across the parking lot, you can stop on the way.
This place was great. It's a BYOB if you feel like bringing some wine. There is a SAQ in the same parking lot too! The food was delicious the staff is great. I think it's a husband and wife who owns and operates it. From the outside it looks closed so we never really ventured in. But after a couple of recommendations we tried it. Will definitely go back again! There is also a kids menu. FYI, the emperial roles have chicken in them for any vegetarians out there.

I go there with my family very often because the staff is great and the food is too. Their portions are of great value. The kids are picky eaters and we had ordered chicken soup with a special request and every time afterwards that we have come there and ordered the soup they always ask if we wanted it with the special request like last time. It's a nice little spot worth the visit if you want to have a nice meal at a good price.
Have visited many times. BYOB - and there is a SAQ right in the small strip mall. Good food. Lots of healthy choices. Recommend the chicken and veggies on crispy noddles. Staff is adorable. Cold rice rolls with shrimp are excellent.
Really friendly service and good food as well. We live around the corner so we visit many times each year and never once had an issue. They have many choices including what you would find at a Chinese Restuarant and it's done well.
We've been to Chez Lien many, many times and keep returning because of the great food, extremely friendly service and the short wait times to get your food. As a matter of fact, we're going tonight.

Service was very good but they eliminated watercress from their previously excellent soup which was the main draw for me. The chicken in the chicken and vegetable over noodles dish was dried out.
Wish I had tried it sooner. After all I have only been looking at Chez Lien for OH - 35 years or so. What ever your order it is well prepared and delicious. Portion sizes are just right too.
