We were there for dinner on August 15th, a very busy evening in Bagnoles. We were lucky to find place as we booked one day before for that evening at 7pm.The name of the restaurant is a bit misleading: there is not any terrace, the tables are outside on the street. However it was good as the street for the 15th of august was closed to traffic and purely pedestrian.Coming to food, the day before I noticed very attractive oysters, which I ordered, unfortunately they were finished.. Wow what a find! Been coming to this town for 5 years and this is my first visit to this restaurant shame I waited so long! The food is really authentic local french which is why we come to France. The menu had...a great choice and was excellent value for the quality and quantity. Good tasting food with a portion that was perfect. I recommend the hot fish terrine starter or snails. The fish with cream sauce delicious and the lemon sole faultless. We had such a good time that we stayed way past their closing time but they were relaxed about this so we stayed for cheese, desserts, coffee and liqueurs! We have been coming to La Terrace for nine years and have visited with large groups and just by ourselves. Madam always makes you feel welcome and for those who try to speak some french she will go out of her way to help (especially children).The choice is very good, although vegetarians will find theirs limited. And, we have always found the quality to be superb.Going again next week and really looking forward to it.

we came back after a 4 year old crawl to find it as good and as friendly as we checked it in 2018. it is nice to sit on the terrace and watch people!
