This restaurant is located near the Delta hotel. It is small, cosy and run by a couple that know their food and their wine.Lucien cooks the specialty meats at your table: I shared with a colleague a chateaubriand (thick beef tenderloin) for two which was just awesome and served with vegetables. My appetizer of garlic-butter snails was equally very delicious.There is a wide selection of wine and Lucien makes great suggestions on the selection depending on what food you order. The wine is then decanted in a large carafe before serving.The place is price but you get the fine French cuisine experience. Service is impeccable.A must do once in Trois-Rivières.
I do not offer and excellent rating often but this place deserves it. We showed up, with reservations, with a large group. From the time we arrived to the end everything was very good. Service, atmosphere food, drink, all were very enjoyable,Chateau Briand was one of the specials, made at the table. Several enjoyed the dish and would recommend. Several other were trying the seafood which also received rave reviews.
The owner of the restaurant attended to you with great detail. The food was excellent. I had a seafood dish and my wife and my mom both had the filet mignon. We had an superb dessert as well. Lucien explained the dishes and the atmosphere was very quaint and cozy. If you are going to eat in Trois Rivieres, this is the place to go! Worth it as a break in driving between Quebec City and Montreal!
My wife and I spent one night in town and had the BEST dinner ever. Being from the South and having experienced fine meals in Charleston, New Orleans and Paris, this dining experience was a true joy. Lucien has a passion and joy for his creations that one rarely sees. With his wife and daughter they have created an destination that all should experience at least once in their life. The food was delicious and Lucien, Joanne and Catherine were warm and welcoming. The highlight for us was Lucien preparing his Chateaubriand special at our table and entertaining us with conversation the entire time. Just a lovely evening.
Nice place to be with friends, family or couple. Everything is good there.Try the "Chateaubriand " the best in town. Lucien will give you the best description of every meal with a little funny joke ! ENJOY!
