We would like to say a very special thank you to the staff at Restaurant Le sud. We visited a couple of days ago and received the most wonderful service from very friendly waitresses and delicious food. The seafood plates we received were beautifully presented and good proportions. It was my Mum's special birthday meal and the staff made us feel very special. My mum very much enjoyed her grilled prawns (even though it was the first time she had them) and loved her banana split dessert. We loved the presentation of the vegetables in the pastry shells, a lovely touch. My specialty salad was wonderful and the right balance of greens with other seafood treats. The wine was lovely and affordable....
It 's the usual sort of establishment you might find on a beach front, the type I 'm always wary of BUT....this was surprisingly very good! I took the 'risk ' of ordering a steak in a restaurant of primarily seafood dishes and I was not disappointed. Perfectly cooked, nice cut of meat and chips (aka fries) that were delightful. The service was great and the prices very reasonable. The moules frites only 10 EUR, try getting them for that price in Belgium! All in all a very nice restaurant and a short stroll away from the beach. Recommend.
Their business card read Dinner and cocktails. But please don't order cocktails. Even after asking for extra lemon, sugar and mint, the mojito still tasted like a poor rumbased potion. Dinner was OK. Not haute cuisine, but tasted good. And for a small price. I would not recommend it, but you won't die..unless you order a mojito.

Had two lovely relaxing meals here. The staff are really friendly, and the moules in particular are great - even the curried ones! There is a basic kids menu, and it is all very reasonably priced. Great location right across from the beach.
Probably just a bad day ... We have eaten the worst mussels ever. The price was very low, but the mosslen were also ... The service also went stiff, our fries ( good quality) came too late. (almost after the meal)
We stayed at this gorgeous hotel on our one night in Sete It's a gorgeous top rated hotel located right on the canal street, facing the canal.
Generous portions of some tasty seafood meals, including tuna or roasted squid regularly feature on the well-priced lunch menu.
