The restaurant was full, we had to put our name on the list to wait around 40min for a table, but once we sat down the service was very quick and the food was great. They have half doses of most dishes which is great to share, but they also have the regular dose. We were 4 and chose to share a few doses. For starter we had conquilhas, for the main course we had half a dose of fried cuttlefish strips, half a dose of octopus fillets and one dose of octopus patties. For drinks we had a bottle of white wine and a 1,5L bottle of water. We also had one dessert and three coffees. The total was round 54€. We turned up about 1pm to find A Casa packed all tables taken. In fact people were queueing! So we went for a pre lunch drink elsewhere, came back just after 2pm and got a table straight away. Lucky us! We had deep fried octopus, which was the softest ever, and the biggest squid we have ever seen. It must have been a good 12 inches long; so big we couldn't eat it all and had to take the rest home in a carton (that the waitress was happy to supply). Deserts were lime mousse and pears in wine both delicious. With a lovely view and great service, we highly recommend this restaurant.
Pour noter déjeuner, nous avons choisi ce restaurant très agréable dans ce beau village, avec des plats de qualité (nous avons pris pour Madame une salade de poulpes qui étaient très tendres et pour moi des Gambas fraiches avec des frites) à prix doux, contrairement à ce qui ce fait un peu plus loin au centre du village. If you like octopus, you can get it prepared in ten different ways here. Really amazing! Quirky restaurant with a giant octopus sculpture on the roof. On the water front with some outside seating. It was packed when we arrived (without reservations) so had to wait quite a while. It was worth it! Very well priced. Para se comer polvo de várias maneiras diferentes em Santa Luzia (Tavira) não há nada como "A Casa". Recomendo vivamente e precisamente o "polvo ªa casa", mas o polvo à lagareiro também não lhe fica atrás. O pessoal é de uma extrema amabilidade. Pena é o tempo de espera, mas em Agosto é o que nos cabe em sorte.
A comida é boa, demoramos mto tempo para nos sentarmos e comermos, convém ir cedo, ou marcar mesa antes. As crianças comeram bem e nos adordamos a feijoada de polvo. Preço aceitavel para 4 pessoas. Vista para a ria de Tavira.
Comida óptima, serviço muito simpático mesmo em época alta. Preços muito equilibrados. Bons pratos de polvo e atum. Salada de bacalhau com muito bom aspecto, a provar na próxima visita.
