Clean hole in the wall with great food. I had the green curry tofu and my partner had spicy basil tofu. We washed it down with excellent strawberry smoothies, which we really needed to cut the heat. The curries were flavorful and nicely seasoned. The first bite took me aback a bit and I'm a fire eater. The heat level is what a Thai might be accustomed to, so order accordingly. You have been warned. I could tell my curry was made from scratch since I could taste the subtle swampy note of fresh galangal. Every other spice was in perfect balance and the tofu was fantastic. I’m so thrilled I found Ms. Lek and Rice Thai Kitchen and hope to order take-out for years to come. The quality of the food and its execution is surprisingly superb- the egg rolls are flakey and crispy and the tofu is delicious! Yes, tofu!! So far, everything I’ve ordered has been piping hot and exactly how I’d like. I wouldn’t dare change anything. They are quick and treat you with respect and gratitude. Please support??. The Pad Thai and fried rice here are absolutely delicious! The food is always fresh, and the portions are huge for the price you pay—definitely some of the best Pad Thai in Chicago. Although the restaurant is small, it’s very clean and cozy. The owner is always friendly and provides excellent customer service. I've never been disappointed!
