I've given Ricky's Cafe several tries, but I keep leaving disappointed. Sometimes the place is empty and I get no service; other times the service is decent, but the food is awful. The prices are way too high—$6 for just three flat pancakes, and my potatoes and eggs barely filled half the plate. I requested cheese, but it wasn’t even melted. This will be my last visit. I’d much rather go to IHOP or Nevada Diner on Queens Blvd, both of which are excellent. The waitress was kind and did try to make up for it by bringing more potatoes, which I appreciated, but I still won’t be coming back. The toast was extremely dry, and I never received a coffee refill. Overall, a big letdown.
Ricky's Cafe is a charming place to enjoy a meal. Though the space is cozy, it comfortably fits several tables and guests. The menu, while not extensive, features high-quality dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. The selections are mostly simple and wholesome, with a creative flair that adds interest. The staff are warm and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. I always look forward to dining at Ricky's Cafe and have also appreciated their delivery service, which maintains the same great standards. This restaurant has been a favorite in the community for quite some time.
Very friendly service. Food here was exceptional. I judge mashed potatoes and they either use a very good quality instant mash or make it themselves but it seemed better than ihop mashed potatoes. Had their steak n eggs and it was delicious. Server was very friendly, and somehow knew we were new customers and took good care of us. For a place as busy as Jackson Heights, it was weird that they knew we haven't been there before. It felt they knew their customers and were very much involved in providing a good experience. After living in the area for many years, I finally gave Ricky's Café a try. I was happy to see a diverse menu, and since I wanted a late breakfast, I chose pancakes topped with strawberries and blueberries, along with scrambled eggs. Everything was flawless—the pancakes were light and fluffy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. For me, breakfast is the ultimate test of a café or diner, and if they can’t nail that, there’s little reason to try anything else!

I had been eager to try Rickys Cafe ever since moving to the neighborhood and seeing countless posts in the Jackson Heights Facebook groups. Darren Racoon Rich kept tempting me with photos of their dishes. When I was in the mood for breakfast, I knew right away that Rickys Cafe was the place to go. The service was exceptional, and the menu offered delicious options. I will definitely be returning.

The milkshakes and cappuccino were excellent! The owner was incredibly friendly and kindly offered our family access to the restroom. She also gave us useful directions to Times Square. We will definitely be coming back on our future visits!
I truly love this place! The menu offers fantastic options, and the customer service is excellent. The restaurant is spotless, and the food tastes amazing.
